Hamidu

“My name is Hamidu Abubakari, I am twenty-one years old. We are four children in my family, three boys and a girl. I am the second born. My first-born brother is a public car conductor, and my two young siblings are still studying. We live with our single mother in one room, my father passed away 2014 due to bicycle accident.

My mother is frying and selling banana and cassava in the street. After I completed my secondary studies in 2017, I joined hands with her in frying banana and cassava and sometimes I was helping her going to the markets to buy raw cassava and banana.

I joined Umoja 2020, I hope Umoja will help me to achieve my goals. My future plan is to be a pilot because I want to help people to travel from one place to another. I like it even though my mother is nervous for me to be a pilot, she always feels is a risk job because she is afraid of the sky."
