Godson

“My name is Godson Lais. I am 21 years old. In my family we are seven children and I am the second born. I live with my single mother and siblings in Arusha, my father died in 2018, It was very difficult for the family to cope that as he was the sole provider of the family.

Since then, my mother and my brother cooperate together and make sure they earn something for supporting the family. My mother was selling soap in the street, but now she cannot do that as she is allergic to perfumes and dust besides, she is farming for us to get food (maize and beans).

I joined Umoja in 2016. Since day one, I enter Umoja my future dream light of being a journalist did not turn off, is has been lighting every day and I hope one day I will fulfill it and being able to support my mother and sibling but also to present citizens problems through mass media in that way I hope they will get help”.
