In 2022 we took a hard look at our Social Enterprise Program. We saw issues with our product and we wanted to change this. We investigated our customer's feedback and found that the best thing for us would be to restructure the program and make an entirely new pad.
So we did.
We can now introduce our new reusable sanitary pad made under our own brand Umoja Pads, made locally at our site in Arusha, Tanzania.
Our vision for our program is to use social enterprise to fight period poverty
Our mission is to produce pads of the highest quality.
Our pads have been designed in collaboration with our own users to find what they would like in a pad. This ensures that our pad fits our users most optimally.
