Umoja Tanzania Incorporated not only prides itself on the work it does to provide disadvantaged young adults with educational opportunities, but also on its track record of being a responsible and fair employer.
Umoja pays all employees a competitive wage in line with their respective work experience and qualifications. We also contribute fully to the pension funds of all employees (through PPF and NSSF), and provides full-time employees with other appropriate benefits such as paid holiday leave. Additionally, each full-time employee works under an employment contract based on international and Tanzanian labour law to ensure they both understand and are able to exercise their rights as employees. All of our interns and the majority of our local volunteers are paid a stipend to assist with travel and other expenses.
